The callsign prefix is the portion of your Amateur radio callsign up to and including the call area number. For example, “KB3” is the callsign prefix for “KB3WX”.
Amateur Callsign Prefix *
The callsign suffix is the portion of your Amateur radio callsign that follows the call area number. For example, “WX” is the callsign suffix for “KB3WX”. When listing a group of Amateur Radio operators, it is often helpful to sort the list by callsign suffix. That’s why we store the prefix and suffix as two separate items of information in our database.
