On March 14, 2026 at 7:30 pm, MCACS will conduct our monthly Hospital Drill. This drill will run less than two hours and will include the facilities listed below. You will want to arrive a half-hour before net time to sign in with security and get set up. Should you need access more than a half-hour before net time, please advise so that the facility may be notified. We are seeking 2 to 3 MCACS volunteers to staff each of the stations at:

• Holy Cross Hospital – Silver Spring [ 1500 Forest Glen Road ]
• Holy Cross Hospital – Germantown [ 19801 Observation Drive ]
• MedStar Montgomery Hospital – Olney [ 18101 Prince Philip Drive ]
• Montgomery County EOC – Gaithersburg [ 1300 Quince Orchard Boulevard]

 Please note:

• Station arrival / setup should begin at 7:00 pm.
• Drill will commence at 7:30 pm.
• A drill plan and communications plan will be shared with participants ahead of the event.

 We encourage MCACS members both to participate in these exercises and to get acquainted with station setup at more than one of our county hospitals. Additionally, we encourage participation from home-based and mobile stations.

Please RSVP to hospital-coord@mcacs.net, indicating which hospital you want to visit and whether you are able to bring a Winlink Express-capable laptop configured with the VARA FM and UZ7HO softmodem software (we need at least one such member at each hospital). If you intend to participate from home or a mobile station, please so advise.
